Practice Principal, Chris Cameron commenced Keperra Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in June, 1990.  Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 1986.  Prior to commencing practice at Keperra Physiotherapy she worked at North-Western General Hospital in Tasmania, Royal Melbourne and Mt. Royal Hospitals in Melbourne and held private practice positions in both Melbourne and Brisbane, treatment being primarily in the field of sports injuries and pain of spinal origin.

Treatment of Sports Injuries, chronic and acute low back pain and headaches are areas of special interest for Chris.  To this end she attends many seminars, conventions and short courses which provide continuous updates in these areas.

 

Chris is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, or APA, the professional body for Australian physiotherapists providing a wide range of continuing professional education activities, support and advisory services.

 

Chris has been an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association since 1986 and has held a number of Association positions including Sports Physiotherapy committee Member, Branch Council Member, Professional Development Committee Member, and Public Relations convenor.

 

Chris is currently an active member of the APAs Sport Physiotherapy Group, Manual Therapy Group, Ergonomics and Occupational Health Group and Private Practitioner’s Group.  She is actively involved in student education as a placement practice for the University of Queensland.
